An Analysis of Language Style Used in The Late-Late Show with James Corden

This study discusses about the use of language style in talk show “The Late-Late Show with James Corden”. The researcher three videos taken from Corden, those are video entitled ‘Bill Gates Knows 'How to Avoid a Climate Disaster' , “How Did Adele Get Celine Dion's Gum James?’and “Jackson Wang: LMLY” . aims identify and describe types also social context he Corden. used theory Joos (1967) analyze type Holmes (2013) context. descriptive qualitative approach, for processing data using Miles & Huberman (1994). result this that found 114 data. Then, there 12 or 11% which is categories as formal style. There 14 12% consultative 88 77% casual So, dominant Corden influenced by participant interaction, setting topic interaction function interaction.
